What is an Apostille you ask?


An Apostille is required for all types of documents that are to be used outside the United States. An Apostille is a certification issued buy the Secretary of State of California the verifies the authenticity of the signature of the official who signed the documents. Apostilles are available for countries that are members of the Hague Convention. This convention was created in 1961, and has streamlined an antiquated process in which you were required to visit multiple authorities to get a document certified.


An Apostille as agreed upon by the Hague treaty (or simply called endorsement, This term is French in Origin:

apostille: means certify, authenticate or complete.)
